Stop Aedes mosquitoes in and around your home

Aedes mosquitoes lay eggs in clean standing water and bite in the daytime. Fifteen minutes once a week is enough.By সম্পাদনা দল · Editorial desk — Oct 14, 2026 · 5:30 PM, 1 min read

The weekly checklist

  1. Empty flower pots and the trays under them
  2. Clean the trays behind the fridge and the air conditioner
  3. Cover water drums and tanks
  4. Remove old tyres, bottles and coconut shells
  5. Clear standing water on the roof and balcony

Avoiding bites

Use a bed net even for daytime sleep, especially for children and anyone who is ill. Wear clothes that cover arms and legs, and use a mosquito repellent when needed.
